Riot law enforcement officials fired tear gas and caught over 400 people in Oakland, California, as hordes of anti-Wall Street demonstrators attempted to take over down-town buildings including City Hall.

On the other hand, an Occupy DC protester was stunned by police with a Taser and charged with disorderly conduct on yesterday as he attempted to tear down eviction notices in Washington.

Police point out 3 officers and a protester were hurt in clashes in Oakland after a quiet march of about 1,000 demonstrators degenerated into conflict.

“[Rioters] pelted officials with plastic bottles, metal pipe, rocks, spray cans, improvised explosive equipment and burning flares,” they says in a report.

Law enforcement officials reacted with smoke, tear gas and beanbag projectiles.
