2 troops killed in Kurram blast

A roadside blast killed 2 Pakistani troops when it exploded in the Jogi region of the northwestern Kurram tribal area, close to the Afghanistan border, a regional security official says.

Army and paramilitary soldiers launched operation in the area about a month back and revealed to have killed over 250 militants.

Security forces had launched a main operation in central Kurram last season and announced that the region had been removed of militants.
