Reaching to prime minister’s speech, Secretary General of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) Mushahid Hussain Syed said there was nothing new in his speech and that it was the repetition of the budget speech made by the finance minister a few weeks ago, a private TV channel reported.
According to Mushahid, people were expecting big decisions on food, electricity and judges issues, but PM did not provide any hope to people on these burning issues. Mushahid said that Prime Minister did not thank the PML (Q) for supporting him at the time of vote of confidence. He further said that it was the speech of a ‘Jiala’ of Pakistan Peoples Party and not the speech of a country’s Prime Minister, the TV channel added.
Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Saturday said the address of Prime Minister, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani to the nation was important and historic. He said the Prime Minister in his speech presented the programme and priorities in accordance with the manifesto of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), before the nation.
The way in which the Prime Minister spoke of the government’s good intentions and open-heartedness about national solidarity and consensus, was the voice of the nation.
