Strike in Peshawar against petroleum price hike

Transporters have started wheel-jam strike in Peshawar against hike in petroleum products prices.

Sources said that the strike has begun at the end of deadline given by transporters for withdrawal of increment in prices.

Heavy police contingents have been deployed at Haji camp ada, Charsadda ada, Kohat ada, Peshawar bus terminal and other bus terminals in the city.

The passengers of inter-provincial and local buses are facing severe problems due to strike.

Meanwhile, transporters stage protest demonstration at GT Road and burnt tyres.
