Special train with affected passengers arrives in Lahore

The special train carrying more than 400 passengers some safe and few others slightly injured in Mehrabpur train accident reached Lahore on Thursday morning.

The dead bodies of the deceased could not be handed to their families thus far.

Touching scenes were witnessed at Lahore Railway station on arrival of the special train comprising six bogies

The passengers and their family members were found embracing each other and weeping through tears.

The people were found running amuck to meet their near and dear ones.

The passengers were frightened to the core. They told that it was extremely cold with night pitched dark at the time of accident.

The panicked commuters continued to relate that the relief work started late by three hours and in the meantime, the wailing entrapped passengers succumbed to the injuries.
