Sixteen killed in air strikes in Bajaur

At least sixteen militants have been killed in the fighter jets air strikes in Damadola and Badan areas of Mamoond on Friday. Sources said the fighter jets also pounded the hideouts of militants in Charmang and Loisam areas and the search operation of security forces are in progress in Loisam.

Several houses were destroyed in the bombardment and the security forces succeeded to take control of the Loisam area after two months tough resistance from militants.

The security forces have set up check posts in city and curfew is still in place in headquarters Khar and the security forces are moving forwards toward Inayat Kallay. It may be remembered that curfew has been in place for the 11th straight day.
