Several militants killed in clash with Security Forces in Bajaur

The Security Forces Tuesday killed several militants and injured many others at Tang Khacha village, some 8 km off Khar, headquarters of Bajaur Agency, Political authorities said.

The Security Forces backed by gunship helicopters and tanks targeted the militants’ hideouts at Tang Khacha after receiving prior information about their presence in the area. Resultantly, seven militants were killed in the gun battle and another five sustained critical injuries, the official sources informed.

The Security Forces targeted militants’ positions in Bai Cheena, Mula Syed, Jhar, Mula Kally, Kosar, Dabar, Badan and Lagzai area with mortar guns and heavy artillery between Monday and Tuesday nights.

According to official sources the Security Forces have started advancing towards militants’ strongholds Loi Sam, Tang Khacha Rashakai and Khazana and regained control over urban areas of Tehsil Khar.
