Search for Azizuddin continues Political administration of Khyber Agency started massive crackdown for the recovery of Pakistan ambassador to Afghanistan.
Six members of the Junda Khel tribe have been arrested under the Collective Responsibility Act by authorities that believe the tribe is connected with Ambassador Tariq Azizuddin disappearance.
Authorities believe that the Ambassador was picked up in Jamrud subdivision of Khyber Agency by the Junda Khel Tribe.
According to the Assistant Political Agent Jamrud, there is no jirga in session yet, but the poltical authorities are in contact with the tribal elders and are pressurizing them to negotiate.
There are reports that Mr Azizuddin has been shifted from Khyber Agency, but this is yet to be confirmed.
Yesterday, the ambassador’s car was spotted in the remote Teigah Valley in Khyber Agency. Azizuddin left Peshawar for Kabul on Monday morning, but never reached his destination and disappeared along the way with his bodyguard and driver.
