Schools reopen in Karachi

All educational institutions in Karachi reopened on Monday after three-week winter vacations.Earlier, the holidays were extended till January 11 owing to the now-postponed general elections.As soon as the Election Commission delayed general elections, the provincial education department announced reopening of schools from January 7 as per previous schedule.Thin attendance reported at Karachi schools on Monday as many parents avoid sending their children to schools due to frosty weather in the metropolis.
