Sanaullah Baloch resigns from senate

Senator Sanaullah Baloch on Friday has resigned from the Upper House of the Parliament.

Sanaullah Baloch said that he resigned from Senate because the government was not able to solve Balochistan’s problems. He further said that issue of Balochistan is political that could not be resolved by use of force and he said Balochis are patriots and never want to become a threat for nation involving in any subversive activity.

“We never want disintegration of Pakistan rather we want a united and strong Pakistan,” assured Sanaullah Baloch who returned to Pakistan after 19-months of self exile.

He said the committee formed during the previous governmet could not have been possible without the cooperation of Baloch leaders including Ataullah Mengal and Nawab Akbar Bugti.

He stated that the formation of the committee was nothing but aimed at misleading the people of Balochistan which followed the murder of great Baloch leader Nawab Akbar Bugti.

He urged the government to spend the hefty amounts on the socio-economic betterment of Baloch people instead of military deployed in the province.

He said due to operation, 2.5 lakh people are displaced from their homes while hundreds of children have died due to mal-nutrition, requesting the government to ensure assistance for them.

The senator said that people of this country should not be divided on ethnic basis, adding that Balochistan is part of Pakistan and Balochis should be treated as nationals.
