Rain, snowfall to hit country’s cold areas

The cold areas of the country to receive rain and snowfall, according to Met. Department forecast here. The hilly areas of the country, Frontier, Balochistan and Kashmir in the next 12 hours were likely to be hit by rain and snowfall, Met office said. Forecast for some major cities of the country are: Karachi cloudy, 10 degree Celsius; Islamabad cloudy, 0; Lahore cloudy, 2; Peshawar with light rain, 2; Quetta with rain, 0, while Abbotabad, Murree, Ziarat and Gilgit with rain, –2; Qalat and Zhob with rain, -3; Parachanar 6 and Skardu with snowfall likely to record 6 degree Celsius.
