Qaim vows to serve Sindh without rural-urban discriminationThe Chief Minister-nominated Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, said on Monday that he will utilise all his energies to work for the welfare of people of Sindh.He told newsmen in the Sindh Assembly on the occasion of oath taking of the speaker and the deputy speaker that talks are being held with MQM in a cordial atmosphere.He said he cannot say at present about the number of ministers to be taken in the Sindh Cabinet.When asked if he would face any opposition in the election for Chief Minister, Qaim Ali Shah said he cannot say anything about it. However, he said, MQM has shown magnanimity and “our speaker and deputy speaker have returned unopposed. They will be sworn-in today and express their views in the House.”Inshallah we will run the government with unity and brotherhood”, he declared. To a question about urban and rural representation in the cabinet, Qaim Ali Shah said his party does not believe in such discrimination and in fact it desired to put an end to it.”Sindh belongs to all of us from Karachi to Kashmore. It belongs to everyone whether they are living in Karachi or in Kashmore. All enjoy equal rights and our religion bars us from making discrimination among citizens, he maintained.
