The Punjab government has sought the services of Army and Rangers in a bid to provide peaceful atmosphere to the people to cast their vote without any fear or disruption, Provincial Secretary Interior Khusro Pervez Khan said on Tuesday.
Talking to private TV channel, he said, the topmost priority of the government was to provide serene atmosphere to voters and candidates alike. And in the presence of Pak Army and Rangers (on polling day) voters would feel more secure.
He said foolproof arrangements have been made to provide full protection to polling staff. Polling material would be moved to the respective polling stations in the custody of the law enforcers.
