Government of Punjab Monday withdrew subsidy on wheat being provided to flour mills in Ramadan for providing flour to people on cheap rates. The decision will result a raise of Rs 150 on each 20 kg flour bag.

Previously, on Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif’s orders, the Floor Mills Association was provided 40 kg of wheat at subsidized rate of Rs 545.

Due to this 20 kg floor bag was available to masses on Rs 250 while the bread was being sold at Rs 2 each in the market.

With the decision 20 kg bag will now be available at Rs 400.
