Punjab government has earmarked Rs 22 bln for food stamp programme with a vision to provide maximum relief to poor citizens for government attaches top priority to the welfare of people. District Coordination Officer Khurram Agha said here on Monday while addressing an open court in line with directives of Chief Minister Punjab Mian Mohammed Shahbaz Sharif.
The official warned that nobody would be allowed to create artificial shortage of atta or fertilisers.
“Government is committed to dispense justice to the masses”, he said.
He gave patient hearing to public complaints and issued instruction for redressal. Most complaints were against police and municipal administration.
DPO Ashar Hameed assured people that fair practice would be adopted.
The open court was also attended by DPO, DSPs, and TMA officials.
