Government and opposition have started number game after the ruling coalition announced to impeach the President Musharraf here on Friday.
Both sides are claiming for their success. Ruling alliance said it had more then 295 members required for the impeachment.
Talking to Geo News in ‘Capital Talk’ program, PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal said that ruling coalition had eight more members then the required. The number will increase further as impeachment motion begins, he added.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League-Q President Ch Shujaat Hussan said government should have a solid reason to initiate the impeachment, as it could not be done on personal liking or disliking.
He said government doesn’t have the number required for the impeachment, adding ruling alliance would fail.
PML-Q leader Hamid Nasir Chatha said government would fail in its drive to impeach the president.
