PPPP proposes Zardari’s name for president’s post

Pakistan Peoples Party parliamentarians on Wednesday evening proposed the name of Asif Zardari for the office of president of Pakistan. According to the private tv channel, a special dinner was hosted at Zardari house in Islamabad on Wednesday night and in that dinner PPP parliamentarian named Co Chairman Asif Zardari as new president.

However, PPP co chairman said that decision about nomination of president would be taken in central executive committee meeting on Thursday. He said that all coalition leaders would be taken into confidence about nomination of the president.

According to the channel, PPP has decided to restore deposed judges after appointment of new president. Pakistan Peoples Party parliamentarian Farzana Raja said that all the parliamentarians have decided to nominate PPP co chairman to be appointed as new president, however, decision would be taken in central executive meeting on Thursday.
