PPP seeks Nawaz support for Zardari, as president

A delegation of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) requested Pakistan Muslim League- N leader Mian Nawaz Sharif to support Asif Zardari’s candidature for presidential slot. Nawaz Sharif has urged that Asif Zardari should fulfill his promise of restoration of judges first which he committed several times. Earlier, a delegation comprised of leader of the house Raza Rabbani, Federal Minister Sherry Rehman, Syed Khurshid Shah and Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah met with Nawaz Sharif. Sources said that delegation has briefed Mian Nawaz Sharif about the decisions taken in the meeting of PPP central executive committee regarding issues of presidential election and restoration of deposed judges through parliament. Nawaz Sharif will hold a press conference later.
