PPP, ML-N demonstrate against ML-Q, police at Gujrat

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Muslim League-N jointly staged a protest demonstration against the leadership of the Muslim League-Q and police.

The demonstrators flocking in front of the DPO office kept beating their chests. PPP leaders Chaudhry Ahmad Mukhtar, Mukhtar Hussain, Mushtaque Hussain, Pugganwala, Nawabzada Ghaznafar Ali, Qamar Zaman Kaira and ML-N’s district general secretary, Haji Nasir Mahmood and city president, Javed Butt were leading the demonstration.

The participants raising vociferous slogans kept beating their chests and demanding the withdrawal of what they called baseless cases against the PPP workers. Later on, the leaders of PPP and ML-N met the Gujrat DPO, Mahmoodul Hassan Quraishi, who assured that no cases would be registered against any one, however, carrying weapons in public could not be allowed.
