Power supply suspended to KESC after federal govt’s approvalWater and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) had suspended power supply to Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC), after approval of the federal government, the sources said.The sources added said that the action was taken, as the KESC did not respond positively despite of the fact that the KESC administration was repeatedly asked to make the payments.The citizens of Karachi are facing acute shortage of water due to suspension of power supply. All power stations in Karachi were tripped after Wapda suspended power supply to Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) at about 8AM. WAPDA used to provide 225 to 250 megawatts of electricity megawatts of electricity to the KESC instead OF 300 megawatts, the sources claimed.
