Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman, Imran Khan, said that he was anticipating such a move from the Government as President Zardari and his cronies were hell-bent to intimidate the superior judiciary. He said that the rulers wanted a docile and subjugated sort of judiciary, which would play on their tune and independent and strong judiciary did not suit them. He further said that the ground realities was changed completely and people of Pakistan were standing behind the judiciary and would not let anyone to subdue the apex court.
Imran Khan said that the Government would definitely go for confrontation with judiciary. To a question, he said that like restoration of judges and NRO case, the Government would back out from their current decision as well and ultimately President Zardari would have to retreat. To another question, he said that he was not pinning any hope on the incumbent Parliament and said that if the things were not put in right frame right now the ultimate decision would be made in the streets and the Government would see for itself with whom the people of Pakistan were standing.
To a question, he said that PTI would be the forerunner in mobilising the general public for the independency of superior judiciary and supremacy of the Constitution if it is needed.
