Tehrik-e-Minhajul Quran chief Dr Tahirul Qadri has declared that neither he nor anybody from his family members will take part in the next general election.
During a media conference, Tahirul Qadri refused media reports that he had sought asylum in Canada.
Tahirul Qadri also declared the separation of Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) from the Tehrik-e-Minhajul Quran.
The Tehreek-e-Minhaul Quran chief also termed his Long March and sit-in as a calming event during which he’d signed the ‘Islamabad Long March Decleration’ with the govt. The deal allows the PAT to have a say over the formation of the caretaker govt.
