I’ve no right to contest for President office says Zardari

President Asif Ali Zardari on today stated that being a President of Pakistan he was happy to see the smooth transition of power, adding that not only Nawaz Sharif but also other political groups supported them for the sake of democracy.

Speaking with a panel of reporters, President Zardari stated that he’s no right to take part in presidential elections for the next period. He said that if PPP asked him to lead the party so he would do, otherwise he’d work as a party worker.

Responding to a question, Mr. Zardari said that NRO and Swiss cases where the charges for what he’d been sent to prison for 8 years. He added that these cases are questionable, which carry no value in his opinion.
