PML-N Punjab parliamentary party meeting on Feb. 26

President Muslim League (N) Shahbaz Sharif has called Punjab parliamentary party’s meeting on February 26 in Lahore. Several independents along with 105 PML-N members of Punjab Assembly will attend the meeting, the party’s provincial Gen. Secretary Raja Ashfaque Sarwar Saturday said. The meeting will discuss the future strategy of the party and endorse the decision of nomination of Shahbaz Sharif as the party’s parliamentary leader.
A large number of independents have contacted the PML-N, Ashfaque Sarwar said. Apart of the independents some elected members from central and southern Punjab about whom the party leaders have some reservations, have also contacted the party, he further said.
He said the district leadership would be consulted before the entry of the newcomers in the party.
