A high level meeting of Pakistan Muslim League-N with the party leader Mian Nawaz Sharif in chair was underway in Raiwind on Sunday.
The meeting unanimously decided that the PML-N will not support the PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari in the presidential election as the leaders of the party vehemently criticized the Peoples Party.
The decisions of the meeting will be announced after being endorsed by the central executive committee of the party on Monday.
The central leaders of the party Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Makhdoom Javed Hashmi, Ahsan Iqbal, Raja Zafar-ul-Haq, Zafar Iqbal Jhagra and others were attending the crucial meeting to decide the future strategy of the party as political pundits expecting some key decision about the future of the ruling coalition in the meeting.
PML-N, a major partner of the ruling alliance, had set the Monday deadline for restoration of judges on Saturday.
Makhdoom Javed Hashmi, a senior leader of Muslim League-N, meanwhile, said that the stance of PML-Q is nearer to the PML-N over the presidential election and several members of the former ruling party have assured him support for the election.
