PML-N meeting causes traffic closure at Raiwind

Multan Road, Canal Road, Thokar Niaz Baig and Motorway were closed for all traffic on Sunday due to Muslim League-N meeting at Raiwind.

The closure of roads caused heavy traffic jam as today was also the final day of a congregation of Tableeghi Jamat.

Several ambulances were trapped in the traffic jumble, while a funeral procession was also stopped.

Strict police checking caused scuffles between policemen and the passengers of various vehicles.

The step has been taken to tighten security in the area, police sources said.
