Pipeline blasts disrupts gas supply to Punjab
The gas supply to many power houses in southern Punjab discontinued, as the gas two pipelines from Sui to Punjab have been blown up on Saturday night. According to reports, some unidentified miscreants blew up the two gas pipelines going from Sui to Punjab.After the blast, the gas supply to some areas of southern Punjab lay disconnected. It was however, clarified that the domestic gas consumers would not be affected by the recent disconnection of gas supply.The areas affected by gas supply disruption include Rajanpur, DG Khan, Muzzaffargarh and Rahim Yar Khan and some Multan areas.According to Sui Northern Gas, Punjab faces 30 percent gas shortage.
