Pakistan People’s Party has in principle decided to induct 11 members in the expected federal cabinet. The party has named five ministers from Punjab, four from Sindh and one each from Frontier and Balochistan provinces, sources said.
The sources told Geo News correspondent Arshad Waheed Chaudhry that the PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari held consultations with central leaders of the party before his departure to Dubai. The party in principle decided to induct 11 members in the expected federal cabinet in the first phase. The party has proposed the names of Yousuf Raza Gillani, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Asif Ahmed Ali, Ahmed Mukhtar and Raja Pervez Ashraf from Punjab, Senator Raza Rabbani, Sherry Rahman, Syed Naveed Qamar and Khurshid Shah from Sindh, Abdul Akbar Khan from Frontier and Taj Muhammad Jamali from Balochistan.
According to the sources, Farooque H. Naik will be named as Attorney General of Pakistan, and three federal advisors will also be included in the first phase.
Asif Ali Zardari had sent the list of names to Pakistan Muslim League (N) for consultation and the PML-N has agreed over the list.
The names of the federal ministers are expected to be finalized in the March 6, parliamentary party meeting of the PPP.
