Peace & happiness linked with restoration of judiciary: Iftikhar

Deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has said that peace and all ways of happiness are linked with the independence of judiciary and restoration of the deposed judges.

Talking to a delegation of lawyers from Attock Bar who called on him on Wednesday, he said, “A country can not make progress without easy and cheap justice”.

The delegation comprised of President Attock Bar Association Rana Afsar Ali Khan, Former President Bar Advocate Ahsan ud Din Sheikh Advocate, Zahid Hussain Bukhari Advocate, Iftikhar Arain and Ashfaq Ali Khan.

Chief Justice appreciated the lawyers for their movement for restoration of judiciary and the deposed judges said the lawyers movement will be successful and declared the lawyers’ movement historical.
