Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said that Pakistan is a peace-loving country and has no aggressive designs against any one.
He said this while talking with Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kiani, who called on him at the Prime Minister House on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister said that the government is determined to provide the Pakistan Army all necessary resources for maintaining law and order.
He said that Pakistan is a responsible atomic power and believes in minimum defensive capabilities.
The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) briefed the Prime Minister about the professional operations of the Pakistan Army.
According to sources, this meeting between the Prime Minister and the Chief of Army Staff continued for one-and-a-half hour in which the COAS gave briefing to the Prime Minister regarding the situation in FATA and NWFP he would give to the coalition parties in the meeting of the ruling coalition.
Sources said that the Prime Minister also formed a committee headed by chairman NRB to review the impact on the Pakistan people of the increasing prices of petroleum products in the world market.
