Nawaz vows to confront Musharraf by contesting electionsFormer Prime Minister and PML (N) Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has vowed once again to contest the upcoming general elections and said that all rigging plans will be foiled.
Pakistan has been passing through the worst crisis in its history, Nawaz Sharif said and vowed he will not let President Musharraf legitimize his rule from the next parliament.
Talking to reporters here, he said the ongoing wheat crisis; gas and power crises had crippled the country’s economy and forced most of its industry to shut down.
Nawaz said his party’s main concern was to restore the constitution and the November 3rd judiciary.
He also alleged that President Musharraf was fully supporting the PML (Q) to get them re-elected.
Nawaz further stated that the government was planning to rig the elections, however, he said, the opposition would contest the polls.
