Muzaffarabad: 14 die as wagon falls in ditchFourteen passengers were killed and four wounded Wednesday when a van traveling to Muzaffarabad from Panjkot plunged in river in Neelum Valley of Azad Kashmir. Three children were also among the dead. According to police, a van running from Panjkot to Muzaffarabad skidded in 200 feet deep ditch while anticipating a sharp curve at Devlian point. Twelve passengers of the van were killed on the spot, while six were injured. The wounded passengers were transferred to nearby military hospital, where two were succumbed to their injuries. The dead passengers have been identified as Sajjad Hussain, Habib Shah, Ghulam Abbas, Safeer Hussain Shah, Musaddiq Hussain Shah, Yasir Hussain Shah, Mir Hussain Shah, Nazeer Hussain Shah, Sagheer and a girl Muqaddis. Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Ateeq Ahmed Khan has ordered inquiry of the incident and announced Rs. 50,000 relief for each deceased.
