Military operation in Dara Adamkhel; militants fire rockets

Militants fired rockets in Kohat amid military action in Dara Adam Khel on Saturday; however, no damage was caused to anyone.

According to sources the first rocket which landed in a park failed to detonate and was later defused by the bomb squad.

Some unknown persons fired at Pakistan State Oil’s tankers but failed to cause any damage since the tankers were empty.

A rocket fell in front of DIG’s office, causing only minor injuries to a policeman while another rocket landed on a residential unit outside KDA Gate number 2 but hurt no one.

Two rockets landed in front of Assistant Political Agent FR office at Peshawar Road, damaging two vehicles and a house.

Security forces carried out action against the militants in Dara Adamkhel all day long while an armed offensive was launched at militants’ hideouts in the afternoon.

Earlier, thousands of local residents continued to shift to Peshawar and Kohat after they were provided an opportunity to leave the area.
