Karachi: Third day of black flag week

The lawyers on third day of the ‘Black Flag’ week hoisted black flags at key thoroughfares of Karachi on Tuesday and boycotted the court proceedings for one hour.
The lawyers stayed away from court proceedings at Karachi city courts and observed token hunger strike.The lawyers’ bodies hoisted black flags at M.A. Jinnah Road, Shahrah-e-Faisal, University Road, I.I. Chundrigar Road, Shaheen Complex and other thoroughfares of the city. “Joint general body meeting of Karachi Bar, Sindh Bar and Malir Bar will be held in City Court on March 13 and a protest rally will march from the court to Karachi Press Club” President Karachi Bar Mehmood-ul-Hassan and Secretary Naeem Qureshi told Geo News.
The Bar leaders termed prevailing wave of lawlessness and bomb blasts in Lahore a conspiracy to sabotage the movement for free judiciary and the new parliament and denounced it.
