Awami National Party and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam have agreed for a unanimous strategy to resolve the issues in a joint meeting of the two component parties of the ruling coalition.
JUI-F and ANP leaders Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Asfandyar Wali were talking to media on Wednesday after the joint meeting here.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman talking to the journalists said, “We were not taken onboard earlier. We have discussed matters in the preliminary meeting and would meet Asif Ali Zardari and the leaders of PML-N today.
The JUI leader said that the coalition parties would adopt a common strategy on issues coming to light after resignation of the president.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman clarified that Asif Ali Zardari was not opposing restoration of Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry.
ANP leader Asfandyar Wali replying pressing questions of media men said that “The strategy of the war could not be disclosed prior to the war.”
He said all major issues will be resolved with unanimity and agreement.
ANP leader said no issues of appointment of governors or new president were came under consideration and termed all news regarding the issue as speculations.
Asfandyar Wali said there was no ambiguity over the restoration of judiciary as the political parties also remain a part of the lawyers movement.
The meeting was also attended by the parlimentarians from FATA. The two leaders will meet Asif Ali Zardari and PML(N) leaders today to discuss the issues further.
