India postpones pipeline talks with PakistanIndia has postponed gas pipeline talks with Pakistan till election of new government in the country.
The sources said Indian Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Murli Deora was scheduled to visit Pakistan on February 7, on the invitation of his Pakistan counterpart. But he has been advised at the highest level to defer the visit till election of the new government in Pakistan.
The two sides had to settle the transit fee issue during the visit of the Indian minister.
India has decided not to attend the proposed trilateral talks in Tehran on February 12 and 13 for finalising the much delayed multi-million dollar three-nation gas pipeline deal.
