Gilani repeals draconian PEMRA laws
Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani has announced abolishing the PEMRA ordinance, promulgated when the Emergency was imposed last November.
Speaking at the floor of the house the prime minister said there was an ambiguity about his statement on PEMRA and he want to clarify the matter. He announced repealing of the draconian Pemra laws of Nov 3, 2007.The media will be allowed to witness proceedings of the parliamentary committees, he added.
