Former Justice Fakhrauddin G. Ibrahim Monday quit as member of judges restoration committee, According to the TV channel, the former Sindh governor and renowned constitutional expert decided to detach himself from the committee on difference with other members.Fakhruddin G. Ibrahim said he had reservations in connection with the committee and that is why “I have decided not to be the part of it.” He said Federal Minister for Law, Farooq H. Naek will be the right person to say as to why I made the decision, TV channel added. APP ADDS: Co-chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari Monday urged the media to think positively about the outcome of judges committee, which has the task of formulating a consensus draft of the resolution with regard to Judges’ issue. He was commenting on resignation of Fakhruddin G. Ibrahim’s from the community in a private TV talk show programme via phone.He said Fakhruddin G Ibrahim would be brought back to the committee and he has talked to PML-N Quaid Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in this regard. “Keep positive thinking regarding judges issue,” Asif Ali Zardari said. Zardari said inviting members of the committee was responsibility of PML-N and expressed the hope that Fakhruddin would be back in the committee. To a question, he said, if needed he himself would request Fakhruddin to review his decision of resignation.Commenting on postponement of by-elections, PPP co-chairman condemned it, saying that definitely there is a conspiracy behind this decision of the Election Commission.He said PPP would join PML-N if it goes to the court and challenges the postponement of by-election. “If Mian Sahib goes to the court then we will go too,” he added. To a question about continuation of Malik Muhammad Qayyum as Attorney General of Pakistan, Zardari said PPP believed in going slow and does not want to personalise things. “But, I assure you that as soon as we reach consensus that what is a good replacement, it will be done,” he added.
