Faisalabad mishap death toll rises to 13

The death toll in the mishap of gas cylinder blast in Faisalabad mounted to 13 on Wednesday. According to the police, the blast occurred with a loud bang in the shop of gas cylinders here on Wednesday, caving in the three-storey building near Kashmir Chawk in Mansoorabad.Dozens of laborers, who were residing at the upper storey of the building, were trapped under the rubbles.As soon as the reports were received, the rescue and heavy police contingents reached at the scene and started rescue operation.Another cylinder also exploded during rescue operations injuring four rescue workers and several others. The wounded were shifted to Allied and Civil Hospital. SP Madina town Yousuf Malik said at least 13 dead bodies have been recovered from the debris and rescue operation is underway to recover other trapped persons.
