Rupee vs. dollar up by paisa 40

The value of rupee against dollar in the inter-bank surged by paisa 40, which saw the dollar closing at Rs81.05.

Forex market dealers said that the trading today began with the value of rupee firming up and dollar was seen traded in the inter-bank at Rs80.90. Dealers said that the volume of inflows exceeded the import bills’ payment. Dollar in the open market today is being bought at Rs81.50 and sold at Rs82.00.
