Pakistan pays 520 million dollars against the IMF loan plan in 2 installments in the present month.
Sources of the Finance Ministry informed that a payment of 140 million dollars will be made to the IMF on Feb . 11 while an additional installment of 380 million dollars will be made on Feb . 26 in a bid to, what they said, ‘ease the burden of debt’.
Pakistan had applied for a loan agreement amounting to 7.80 billion dollars with the IMF in 2008 following pressures of mounting up international dues and so far it’s managed to come back 2.38 billion dollars to the Fund.
