PM Ashraf orders withdrawal of recent Oil price hike

PM Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has directed withdrawal of recent hike in Oil prices after strong public response. It may be mentioned here that with only days left before the assemblies are dissolved, the govt had increased the price of oil products.

With the recent hike, petrol was selling at 106.60/litre after a rise of Rs. 3.53 while Diesel after a Rs. 4.35/litre increase was at Rs. 113.56. Sources stated, On Friday a few federal ministers met President Asif Ali Zardari and informed him about their concerns over increase in Oil prices before the next elections.

The Prime Minister said today that the incumbent democratic govt wouldn’t put burden on the people.
