30 new agreements for oil, gas exploration on the cards

The government intends to finalize 30 new agreements for the exploration of oil and gas in 2008-09. In a meeting with the British Petroleum President, Tariq Khamisani here, caretaker Minister for Oil, Gas and Natural Resources Ehsanullah told this. He said that the production and consumption of gas during 2001 to 2007 mounted by 62 percent. Tariq Khamisani on this occasion said that the British Petroleum was mulling over making new investment in the Pakistan oil and gas sector.
