Two policemen including SHO and 3 suspected militants have been killed in Mardan in an exchange of fire with suspected militants.
Sources say the police have recovered the bodies of 3 suspected militants. The Assistant Superintendent Police Parvez Imrani has also been injured in the shootout.
Police raided a suspected militant hideout early Saturday, triggering a shootout that killed at least three officers and wounded another, police said.
The gunbattle occurred in Mardan town, about 50 kilometers (30miles) northeast of Peshawar, when officers surrounded a house and asked the occupants to surrender.
