The city and its adjoining areas this morning witnessing heavy fogs badly hit the domestic and foreign flights, while 2 persons were killed and 5 wounded in a mishap on the Motorway due to thick haze rendering visibility extremely poor.
Traffics in the city and its adjoining areas Tuesday morning faced immense difficulties due to the sky overcast with fogs and visibility being poor, while the foreign and domestic flight schedule at the Allama Iqbal International Airport was also hampered.
Flights from Kuwait, Toronto, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah and Riyadh were delayed for several hours, while the to and fro flights from Lahore to Karachi, Islamabad, and Multan could not run on schedule. Besides, the trains arriving Lahore were also late by hours due poor hazy atmosphere. Traffic accidents at several places were reported, while one bus hitting a side pole on the Motorway killed two persons and injured five.
