12 dead in a coach, trailer collision at Rajanpur A passenger coach collided with a trailer near Shahwali area of Rajanpur district, leaving a woman and child amid 12 persons dead and 20 wounded.

Police told that the passenger coach heading from Peshawar to Karachi, while overtaking a truck on Indus Highway near Shahwali clashed head-on with a trailer coming from the opposite direction, which resulted in the death of 12 persons including a woman and a child, while 20 persons were wounded.

Police and Rangers have shifted the bodies and the injured to Kashmore Taluka Hospital, while ten of them being in critical condition were later sent to Rahimyar Khan and Larkana.

Rahmatullah, Iqbal Hussain, Wakil Khan, Gulzar Khan, Abu Bakar Khan, Rahmatullah Khan, Azim Hussain, Dilbar Khan, Rahima Khatoon, Azhar, 6 and Shaukat Khan were included among the dead, while one body could not yet be identified.

Kashmore District Nazim, declaring emergency in the Kashmore Taluka Hospital, has cancelled the leaves of the hospital staff.
